Super grade high alumina brick refers to the high alumina brick with Al2O3% > 70, with bulk density of 2.6-2.85g/cm3 and fire resistance greater than 1800 degree . The product is produced by taking the super grade bauxite clinker calcined in the rotary kiln as the aggregate, adding fine powder or micro powder, a certain proportion of Kyanite powder, using pulp liquid as the binder and firing at a high temperature of about 1500 degree . The main crystal phases of super high alumina brick are corundum phase, mullite phase and a small amount of glass phase. Corundum phase has good high temperature performance and mullite phase has good thermal shock stability. Therefore, the service life of the product is generally more than twice that of ordinary high alumina brick. Products are often used in high temperature and erosion resistant areas such as electric furnace roof, blast furnace hearth, blast furnace, reverberatory furnace, rotary kiln transition zone and so on.
